Clinical Nursing Ι (Internship)

 

STUDENT PERFORMANCE EVALUATION

Assessment of students’ participation in identifying needs and problems of the sick and healthy individual, care planning, nursing interventions, educating individuals and groups, and designing the health care plan.

 

LEARNING OUTCOMES

The aim of the course is to assist nurse students to apply in clinical practice the theoretical knowledge and skills which have been acquired during the theoretical and laboratory courses taught in previous study years, focusing on a patient centered approach, maintaining and promoting health.

At the end of the course students will be able to:

• Assess patient’s needs to implement the necessary nursing interventions and evaluate the outcomes of care
• Work in an interdisciplinary environment
• Meet the health care needs of the individual in the hospital, home, school and workplace
• Being able to make appropriate clinical decisions
• Developing professionalism and autonomy in workplace
• Coordinate the health care team and organizes delivery of nursing care within the health clinical settings or community
