Education: Parisis Gallos is a graduate of the Department of Nursing at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA). He holds a Master’s Degree in Health Informatics from the same university and a PhD in the same field, awarded with the highest distinction (“Excellent”). Additionally, he has completed studies in Computer Science at the Hellenic Open University (HOU)..

Research interests: His research interests focus on Health Informatics, Health Information Systems, Telemedicine, mobile health applications, and the use of Artificial Intelligence technologies and Data Analytics in the healthcare sector. He places particular emphasis on the study of telemedicine system applications and the remote monitoring of chronic patients. He has actively participated in both European and national research projects.

Academic appointments: He has extensive teaching experience at universities in Greece and abroad, both at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, in subjects such as Health Informatics, Telemedicine, Biostatistics, Health Information Systems, and Electronic Health Services. Since February 2025, he has been serving as an Assistant Professor of Health Informatics at the University of West Attica in the Department of Nursing. He has also taught as a adjunct lecturer at NKUA, Harokopio University, University of Piraeus, University of Peloponnese, and University of Thessaly.

Professional experience: He has worked as a Scientific Associate in telemedicine solution development companies such as BioAssist S.A. He has also served as a Project Manager for European projects at the European Federation for Medical Informatics (EFMI). In addition, he was a Special Advisor at the Office of the President of the National Organization for the Provision of Health Services (EOPYY), primarily responsible for the management and development of Health Information Systems.
